  • salt to taste
  • ½ garam masala
  • 1 tsp pepper powder
  • Some vinegar or lemon juice
  • curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp butter or oil
  • Some water
  • 4 garlic cloves freshly pounded
  • Small piece of ginger
  • Curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • ½ tbsp chilly powder
  • ¼ tbsp fennel powder (optional)

  • Start with a marination process.
  • Marinate prawns with the above-listed ingredients for 1 hour.
  • On a Tawa, pour butter, splutter curry leaves and ginger-garlic, and cook until it’s aromatic.

  • Cover and cook it for some time; simmer the stock and fry it.
  • Fry the prawns, then add leftover marinade and water. Simmer briefly for a delicious Prawn Tawa.
  • Add more water if you need more gravy.
  • Add the fried prawns to the pan and mix them with the onion-garlic mixture.
  • At last, squeeze some lemon juice and serve hot with mint chutney.

Pro Tip:
