Ingredients Required:
- 500 grams of boneless chicken
- 200 ml of yoghurt
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 4 tablespoons of ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 200 ml of heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup water
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Preparation:
- Marinate the chicken: Mix chicken, yoghurt, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, salt, and red chilli powder in a bowl. Cover and let it rest for at least two hours.
- Cook the chicken: Now, heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Cook the chicken until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Prepare the sauce: In the same pan, heat 1 tbsp oil. Add onions, ginger garlic paste, and tomato puree. Cook for about 5 minutes.
- Add spices: Stir in turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder, red chilli powder, and a cup of water. Let it cook for a few minutes.
- Combine chicken and sauce: Add the cooked chicken to the pan. Make sure it’s well coated with the sauce.
- Final touches: Stir in the heavy cream and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish your dish with fresh coriander leaves. Your Chicken Tikka Masala is ready!
Tip: For a more flavorful dish, marinate the chicken for 4-5 hours. The longer, the better!
